The AD8313 is a complete multistage demodulation logarithmic amplifier that accurately converts the RF signal at the input to the equivalent dB scale value at the dc output. The AD8313 maintains high logarithmic consistency over the signal frequency range of 0.1 GHz to 2.5 GHz. The application is simple, requiring only a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and adding the proper input and power coupling. It consumes only 41 mW of power at 13.7 mA (TA = 25 ° C) with a 3 V supply. With power-saving features, the input is pulled high to initiate a low current (20 μA) sleep mode with a threshold of half the supply voltage .
The AD8313 is fabricated on Analog Devices' advanced 25 GHz silicon bipolar IC process and is available in an 8-lead MSOP package. Operating temperature range is -40 ° C to + 85 ° C.
