    Description
    First, the core chip parameters introduced
    The ADL5920 is an ultra-wideband bidirectional detector that measures both forward and reverse rms power levels and return loss in a single signal path.
    The forward and reverse power flowing through the integrated bidirectional bridge will be measured using two 50 dB dB linear rms detectors. The detector output voltages provided on the VRMSF and VRMSR pins are proportional to the forward and reflected power (in dBm). The third differential output generates a voltage proportional to the return loss (reflectance, in dB), which is closely related to the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). The common mode level of this output can be externally adjusted via the VOCM pin.
    The primary transmission line of the bidirectional bridge from RFIN to RFOUT (and vice versa) is a DC-coupled line that allows a small amount of DC bias current to flow through the bridge. When DC is coupled to the source and load, the positive and negative supply pins of the ADL5920 must be tied to +5 V and −2.5 V, respectively (relative to the DC voltage on RFIN and RFOUT). The internal detector circuit is also DC coupled to the bidirectional bridge to support measurements down to 9 kHz.
    For open and shorted terminals, the maximum input signal on each RF port (RFIN and RFOOUT) is 30 dBm and the matched terminal electrode is 33 dBm.
    The ADL5920 consumes 160 mA from a 5 V supply and has a low-power shutdown mode controlled by the PWDN/TADJS pin.
