Farmall IH International Char Lynn power steering end cap kit 374536r1 , #141

Description

One, new, complete, remanufactured, power steering hand pump, "power end" housing kit for Farmall 240, 340, 404, 504, 2504 or International Harvester tractors 240 if you have the IH two port power steering unit (torque generator) that you may not know was originally supplied to IH by Char Lynn. This end cap housing kit comes complete with ALL NEW housing, quad O-ring and grade 8 assembly bolts as shown in the parts manual. This is the housing that is on the bottom of the Char Lynn hand pump that has the three cap screws holding it to the cast iron steering mount on the tractor. Sometimes those ends crack or the mounting bolt holes break off.  All you need to do for reassembly is work the new quad ring in to the bottom groove, drop in the steel seal ring retainer and power end shaft from your existing unit and mount this baby to your disassembled steering unit. The new 12 point, grade 8 capscrews will torque down with no problem. I've done a lot of these units and the old bolts will not re-torque consistently and the unit will leak. I will enclose additional assembly instructions for cap orientation and torque specs so you can get it right the first time.
This "Power End" housing fits the hydraulic power steering unit (torque generator)  373069r91, 373069r92, 373069r93 and 373069r94 and is the bottom end of the hand pump right under the steering wheel that you see sticking up through the dash. This is the aluminum end cap that you are likely to break when you are changing out a rusted on steering wheel or fixing a leaker during a restoration.
All parts match Char Lynn Specs in exact detail. This end cap will NOT fit the 4 port PS unit on these same models. Check your parts manual if you have questions or concerns. As you may already know, this lower end cap assembly and all of it's associated internal parts are no longer available from CNH or Char Lynn as they were discontinued many years ago. THIS END CAP WILL ALSO FIT ALL CHAR LYNN S-101, S-102 AND early 207 SERIES CHAR LYNN TORQUE GENERATORS found on ALOT of older tractors across all brands. That Char Lynn part number is #141.
