Item for Sale:
The Icom IC-4KL is a 1 kW solid state amplifier with an integrated fully automatic antenna tuner. It covers the 160 to 15 meter
Amateur Radio
bands, with an easy modification for the 10 meter band. It is fully controlled by Icom transceivers for seamless operation. The Remote Control Head can be placed next to the transceiver while the main unit is out of the way on casters (wheels). Drive power is up to 100W Max. This amp was made from approximately 1990 to 1996-97.
The
IC-4KL can be wired for 117V, 50/60 Hz, primary line voltage but it can be easily converted to 234V.
Background:
I am selling this item for a widow of a silent key and friend who recently passed away in June of 2021. He was an Electrical Engineer for a company that manufactured Broadcast Television VHF & UHF Transmitters where I worked with him for many years.
This item is not in his den. It is located downstairs where he had an Electronics workshop. He has other Ham Radio equipment down there as well.  There appears to be cables behind it. I have no idea whether it works or not. I haven't had the opportunity to test each item, so given its age and unknown condition, it is being sold "
AS-IS
". I performed a quick inventory of each item and took at least (1) photograph of each item. If I had the finances and space, I would have purchased many of the items in his collection.
Given the size and weight of this item (85.32 lbs.) and to prevent damage during shipping, we are selling it for

We will provide a copy of the instruction & service manual in a 3-hole folder but we'll be more than happy to provide the original manuals should we find them before pickup.
