This RADIODAN produced cable has the extra ground connection on Pin 2 of the "REMOTE" 7 pin DIN connector on the back of the Kenwood radios listed below as required by DX Engineering products such as
DXE-NCC-2 or DXE-RTR-2. They also work to properly key the legacy DX Engineering NCC-1 Receive Phasing Controller and the RTR-1A and RTR-1 Receive Antenna Interfaces. The RADIODAN KWD-RTR provides the "Ground on Transmit" AND the chassis common shield connection that is required by those DX Engineering devices. They also provide the normal ground on transmit keying for other accessories and amplifiers.
We use the highest quality 7 pin DIN connector, just look closely at ours vs the competition.
They use the lowest quality cheap plastic junk, we use a professional grade metal body connector with high temperature insulation that holds the terminals.
We also use a high braid content cable with RCA plug for excellent shielding!
Don't risk damage to your radio's connector jack, use our professional series cable and connector!
We HIGHLY suggest using a relay buffer interface between your expensive radios amplifier keying circuit and your amplifier. We sell the complete setup for your Kenwood radio in another listing, search for "TS-2000 relay buffer interface" in the eBay listings or our store.
Why do we not offer an ALC line? ALC has no standards! So, is you radio/amplifier looking for a positive or negative ALC voltage? What voltage for what level of control?
Radiodan NEVER uses ALC, just use your radio's RF power control and drive your amplifier to what YOU want for output.
