    High-Linearity Y-Mixer Module (ADL5350)
    First, the product application:
    The ADL5350 is a high linearity, up / down-conversion mixer capable of operating over a wide range of input frequencies, making it ideal for cellular base station mixer designs requiring high sensitivity and high efficiency immunity. The device is based on a GaAs pHEMT, single-ended mixer architecture that provides excellent input linearity and low noise figure without the need for a high power local oscillator (LO) driver. In 850 MHz / 900 MHz receive applications, the ADL5350 has a typical conversion loss of only 6.8 dB. The integrated LO amplifier requires only a low LO drive level, which is typically only 4 dBm for most applications. The input IP3 is typically greater than 25 dBm and the input compression point is 19 dBm. The device features high input linearity and is therefore an excellent mixer for GSM 850/900 and 800 MHz CDMA2000-compliant, high-immunity communications systems. At 2 GHz, a slightly higher supply current is required to achieve similar performance. With a single-ended wideband RF / IF port, the device can be customized to the desired operating frequency band using a simple external filter network. LO-to-RF isolation LO suppression based on RF port filter networks. Higher isolation can be achieved with a higher order filter network as described in the Application Information section of this data sheet.
