QRP LDMOS Ham Radio Amplifier Foundation(less device). Just built with all new parts(except a repurpoused on-off switch) LDMOS amplifier using a pallet from DXworld in greece covering 160 thru 6 meters( the pallet advertised on ebay for 0 plus surcharges) a mean well 26 volt 20 amp power supply, LM7812 12 volt regulator chip to relays and bias. 1 thousand watt omron relays for keying and built in antenna relays, 30 amp meter with shunt, repurposed cabinet measuring 16 inches long, 12 inches deep, 7 inches high. plenty of room for another 24 volt power supply to use a 48 volt output chip. as built you can use any 24-28 volt 480 watt chip, such as a mrf141a and plenty of other chips requirering about 5 watts drive. the amplifier currently has a mrf9180 900mhz chip. you can add an output filter if you want, the FCC does not require filters on a DIY amplifier. schematic of pallet amp is supplied. unit weighs 10 lbs. average shipping cost conus this size and weight.
