Description
Texas Star DX-1600X Sweet Sixteen Mobile Linear Amplifier acquired from the original owner. This amplifier is Not Working Properly and needs Repair. From what I was told it is not producing the amount of power or wattage it is capable of. One day he turned it on along with the driving transceiver and it stopped working and had Low Output. I have no way to test this unit other than power up with a 12 volt power supply which I did. It lights up. None of that " I don't know if it works", or " it worked the last time I used it" stuff...This amplifier is NOT Working Right and needs Repair. Cosmetically very good with very little wear. I removed the top cover and took multiple photos so that you can see what your getting. The eight 2879 transistors are all intact as can be viewed in the photos. Please use the multiple photos to evaluate this amplifier. Due to age, a long period of non-use, and above stated non-working condition, this amplifier is offered for restoration and sold as is. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get. NO UNPLEASANT SURPRISES. Shipping cost includes packing/handling/and insurance. I am receiving multiple emails regarding the Toshiba transistors. I took as many pictures of the inside from different angles as possible, that's the very best I could do. This unit is packed and ready for next day shipment, I am not going to unpack the unit. So, assume the Toshiba transistors are Counterfit and Not the desirable Japanese components. I would rather be safe than sorry...
