Description

Vintage Pennsylvania turnpike used postcard, postmarked 1951, and 16 trading cards showing different scenes along the turnpike.
Postcard - Made by Tichnor Bros. Inc. Boston, Mass.
It shows the entrance, interchange, and toll gate on the turnpike. Marked W-12. Has an old car coming through the gate.
Trading cards - Each trading card measures 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches. They all show a real scene along the turnpike. On front are words stating what picture is. On the back, are sentences or a paragraph, describing what is on the front.
The numbers of the cards are 3048, 3049, 3050, 3051, 3052, 3053, 3054 (sm. spot on back lower left bottom of card), 3056, 3057, 3058 (faint tan line on back), 3059, 3060, 3061, 3063, 3066, and 3067.
